A Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) master was sentenced to prison for offending those in power.

Many people expressed sympathy for his plight, saying, "Master, with so many criminals in prison, you must feel terrible, and be suffering horribly."

To their surprise, however, the master replied cheerfully, "Not at all. Everyone I've met in prison is a bodhisattva! And in here, I not only have a chance to expound the Dharma and teach everyone how to meditate, but I can also pursue my own practice in peace and quiet. I'm so happy!"

Thus with a simple change in perspective, you will discover a whole new vista before you.It's clear that if we can be master of ourselves, and always at peace, instead of depending on external circumstances or other peoples' value judgments, we can face bitter frustration with joy.

一些觀念的改變
中國明朝 (1368-1644)時 , 一位法師因開罪了權貴而入獄。很多人對於他的處境表示同情地說， "法師，在監獄裡和那麼多囚犯在一起，你一定感到可怕，同時受到極大的煎熬了。"

出乎他們意料之外，那位法師爽快地回答，"沒關係。我在監獄所遇見的 , 每一位都是菩薩 ! 在這裡，我不僅有機會闡述佛法 , 還可以教導他們打坐，而我自己也能平靜地修行。我很快樂 ! "

Thus with a simple change in perspective, you will discover a whole new vista before you.

因此 , 只要改變一些觀念 , 你可以進入一個新境界。

It's clear that if we can be master of ourselves, and always at peace, instead of depending on external circumstances or other peoples' value judgments, we can face bitter frustration with joy.

很明顯，如果我們能夠控制自己，經常心境平和，而不受外來環境及別人的價值觀所影嚮，我們可以用歡喜的心情 , 面對痛苦錯折的考驗。
